Event Rules

  • The event will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the organizing committee.
  • It is the responsibility of each individual runner to ensure that he / she holds a valid insurance covering him for participation in the Cyprus International 4-day Challenge 2010, as well as loss of equipment.
  • Runners compete at their own risk.
  • The organizers will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, costs or expenses which may arise as a result of either participating in, or attending the events.
  • All participants will have to read, understand and sign the declaration on the registration form, otherwise entry can be refused.
  • RTS (Race Timing Systems) UK is selected as the official timing partner and Chip Timing is the obligatory scoring method for all participants, during all 4 races. Upon registration the Timing Chip will be given to participants against a refundable deposit of € 20.00 (cash only) which will be returned with the completion of the 4-day Challenge at the finish line of the 10k Paphos City Run. No results will be given to people who will not get the Timing Chip against the refundable deposit, or who will not have the Timing Chip properly attached to the shoe lace, and worn throughout the race.
  • The Cyprus 4-Day Challenge is a demanding running event and you should be fit enough to at least run the majority of the routes – the event is not open to those intending to walk the entire event.
  • The organizers of the race have the right to refuse entry and the decision of their officials will be final.
  • The organizers have every right to use any details or photographs (before, during and after the event) for publicity and public relation purposes.
  • Registration only over 18 unless otherwise specified.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to make any last minute alterations to the rooting or cancel any race (due to FORCE MAJEUR circumstances)
